Elon Musk has officially opened a new diner in Hollywood, California, that aims to provide a unique dining experience for patrons while complementing the electric vehicle lifestyle. The diner, which opened its doors in late July 2025, is strategically located near a Tesla car charging station, catering to Tesla owners and enthusiasts alike. Musk has previously referred to the establishment as “one of the coolest places in LA.” This careful wording has only increased interest and curiosity about what it includes and potential for new expansion.
The diner has an inclusive menu to meet everyone where they are. Our signature dishes include the tasty “Tesla Giga Burger” for only $13.50. Be sure not to miss the $8 Bohemian Rhapsody milkshake and delicious $12 maple-glazed “Epic Bacon” strips! These items have sparked conversations among customers and food critics alike, with one enthusiastic Yelp reviewer noting, “the burger was solid and the fries were perfectly crispy.“
Elon Musk has big ideas for the diner. He has ambitions to roll out more locations to other major cities around the world if this first pilot proves successful. He described the diner as “a shining beacon of hope in an otherwise bleak urban landscape,” reflecting his desire to create not just a restaurant but a community hub for Tesla fans.
Chef Eric Greenspan will head up the culinary experience at the retro diner. He graduated from Le Cordon Bleu and shot to prominence for creating the wildly successful Mr. Beast Burger chain. Shortly after the opening, Greenspan announced his departure to focus on a new project—an upscale Jewish deli called Mish. His departure leaves a lot of questions about the future culinary direction of the classic diner.
The diner includes an incredible upstairs deck, dubbed the “Skypad.” Savor an elevated culinary experience with breathtaking vistas of the world-famous Hollywood skyline. In mid-December, the establishment hosted a “Holiday Bash on The Skypad,” offering unlimited food and beverages alongside live music for $75 per ticket. This exciting event solidified the diner’s place as a must-visit hot spot for locals and tourists alike.
Even with its angel-of-the-north concept and glowing reports from media outlets and some patrons, the diner hasn’t come without turbulence. Unsurprisingly, local residents have made complaints about the noise impact, especially at night and on game days. Reviewers on Yelp noted that certain menu items are frequently gone within the first hour. Or, like many others, the food arrives cold and soggy ruining the entire dining experience.
Regardless, Elon Musk is determined to see this dinery succeed. He calls it a success and proposes opening additional locations around Tesla offices in Palo Alto and Austin. His ambition to broaden the still-nascent concept speaks to his aspiration to connect eating experiences with the Tesla brand in unique ways.
