Former NFL Receiver Jordan Shipley Hospitalized After Ranch Accident

Jordan Shipley Former Texas star and NFL receiver Jordan Shipley is currently in treatment for serious burns. He sustained these injuries in an off-road vehicle accident on his private ranch near Burnet, Texas. Emergency responders airlifted the 40-year-old athlete to a hospital in nearby Austin after the incident. He remains in critical but stable condition.

Shipley, an elite track and field athlete for University of Texas, competed in the 100m and 200m sprints. …he was left with third-degree burns over 20% of his body. Circumstances of the crash have yet to be made public. What is shrouded in myth is the story of how the aggravating injury occurred on his ranch.

Writing on social media, Bob Shipley, Jordan’s father, pleaded for privacy and peace while his family mourned.

Jordan Shipley was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Over three seasons in the NFL, he played for the Bengals as well as the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Over the course of his career, he tallied 79 receptions for 858 yards and four touchdowns.

His college career at Texas included notable moments, such as playing in the 2009 Big 12 Conference championship game against Nebraska, further solidifying his reputation as a talented athlete.
