On March 24, a babysitter’s routine bedtime ritual turned into a shocking encounter just outside the city of Great Bend. This led to an unusual clash after locating suspect Martin Villalobos Jr hiding underneath a child’s bed. The original story that served as her inspiration for the app occurred when a child fearing a “monster” under their bed requested a babysitter check there. Much to everyone’s surprise, however, Villalobos Jr ended up hanging out there.

Upon arriving, an argument ensued between Villalobos Jr and the babysitter. In the process one of the kids got knocked down. The suspect, who previously lived at the address, was able to escape the property just minutes before police arrived.

Concerns turned out to be well-founded. Babysitter wasted no time in alerting law enforcement, who responded immediately to the scene property. The victim was able to identify Martin Villalobos Jr. as the suspect who committed the intrusion. Authorities later charged him with attempted murder and other felonies. These were aggravated kidnapping, aggravated burglary, and violation of a protection from abuse order.
