Michael Pitt Faces Arrest on Sexual Assault Charges Amid Allegations from Ex-Girlfriend

Michael Pitt, the 44-year-old actor of Boardwalk Empire fame, was arrested on Tuesday in Brooklyn for allegedly sexually assaulting and stabbing an ex-girlfriend. According to the complaint, these abusive incidents occurred at his residence in Bushwick between 2020 and 2021. The charges, which have appeared four or five years after the purported events, include several per-escorts or payments and graphic assaults and beatings.

The charges go as far as the extreme claim of attacking the woman with a cinderblock and a wooden plank. Pitt’s attorney argued that these allegations date back to a period when the pair had a completely consensual relationship. This crucial piece adds important context to the nature of their exchanges. This complicates the narrative surrounding the allegations.

In March 2022, Pitt made national headlines after his arrest on a slew of charges. He was accused of assault and petty larceny for supposedly hitting a man and stealing his phone. After this ordeal, he was placed into psychiatric hospitalization after being charged with lobbing fireworks off an apartment building.

The recent allegations reported by the New York Post and Variety highlight incidents that occurred during a tumultuous period for the actor. Facing those charges, Pitt is due back in court in June.

“Unfortunately, we live in a world where somebody like Mr Pitt – an accomplished professional who would never so much as contemplate these crimes – can be arrested on the uncorroborated word of an unhinged individual,” – Pitt’s lawyer.

“In reality, this baseless claim is suspiciously raised some four or five years after the alleged incident, at a time when the two parties were in a completely consensual and voluntary relationship. This case will be dismissed.” – Pitt’s lawyer.

Yet in light of these grave allegations, Pitt is being poised to take a leading role in a new big budget true crime drama called “You Can’t Win.” As his legal battles unfold, he faces scrutiny not only for his past behavior but for his future in the entertainment industry.
