DOGEQUEST, an online map that highlights Tesla dealerships and Superchargers across the United States, has become a focal point in a heated controversy involving alleged acts of vandalism against Tesla properties. The map not only provides a resource for Tesla owners but also lists purported addresses and phone numbers connected to members of the Trump administration's DOGE team. This has raised concerns about the site's role in promoting violence and targeting individuals associated with the Trump administration.
The site, which describes itself as "the ultimate hub for enthusiasts of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)," has been intermittently unavailable to some users due to unknown reasons. It offers a comprehensive list of Tesla locations, including service centers, showrooms, and charging stations, aiming to assist Tesla owners in locating nearby facilities. However, DOGEQUEST has attracted attention for allegedly being used to track and incite violent attacks on Tesla properties nationwide.
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi expressed grave concern over the situation, labeling the incidents as "nothing short of domestic terrorism." She emphasized the importance of continued investigations to hold those responsible accountable.
"The swarm of violent attacks on Tesla property… nothing short of domestic terrorism," said U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk also voiced his outrage at the violence targeting his company's properties and employees.
"This level of violence is insane and deeply wrong," stated Elon Musk.
"Tesla just makes electric cars and has done nothing to deserve these evil attacks," he added.
DOGEQUEST's association with the Trump administration's DOGE team, led by Elon Musk himself, has further complicated the narrative. The site is accused of spreading hate and promoting a political agenda that targets individuals linked to the Trump administration. While it caters to Tesla Motors owners by offering location services, its controversial content has sparked debate over its true intentions.
A statement from DOGEQUEST suggests a focus on empowering protest, albeit in an unconventional manner.
"If you're on the hunt for a Tesla to unleash your artistic flair with a spray can, just step outside — no map needed!" reads a statement from DOGEQUEST.
Despite this, DOGEQUEST maintains its position as a resourceful platform for Tesla owners.
"But that's not all! We also cater to Tesla Motors owners, providing a comprehensive resource to locate nearby service centers, showrooms, and charging stations — all at their fingertips," according to DOGEQUEST.
President Donald Trump weighed in on the controversy, suggesting political motivations behind the attacks.
"I think that you will find they are people that are highly political on the left," he remarked.
