JD Vance Faces Protests in Vermont Amid Ongoing Holiday Adventures

Ohio, JD Vance, was in hot water this week after a video filmed on his skiing vacation in March 2025. He was on leave at the Sugarbush ski resort in Vermont when it all blew up. His presence spurred public protests from area residents, who lined the street holding up colorful signs protesting his presence. This backlash was enough to make Vance move, in the face of an organized effort against him in Waitsfield, Vermont.

In the past five months, Vance has enjoyed various vacations, including a family trip to Disneyland and a kayaking adventure in Ohio. He is looking forward to a long summer stay in the beautiful Cotswolds. This region, known as one of Europe’s prettiest landscapes, with its rolling hills and storytellers’ hamlets. His family trip to Disneyland was met with a sarcastic remark from California Governor Gavin Newsom, who tweeted, “Hope you enjoy your family time, @JDVance.”

Vance’s most recent kayaking adventure was at Caesar Creek Lake in Ohio. He loved playing in the water, and he was often photographed sitting on a canoe. He chronicled the experience on social media, telling his supporters, “Had a wonderful time, thank you for sharing.” The federal delegation’s trip drew significant national controversy. Vance’s Secret Service detail reportedly requested the Army Corps of Engineers to modify the lake’s outflow.

Vance was preparing for an extended visit to the Cotswolds. Even more excitingly, his lodging is near famed motor journalist Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat empire! Clarkson, known for his politically incorrect tirades, recently eviscerated Vance. He christened him a “bearded God-botherer” and “twat” who has “no inkling of historical in the slightest.” The reality of Vance’s trip thus far such comments highlight the lukewarm welcome Vance has experienced on his tour.

The constant public pressure around Vance has seeped into his plans outside of play. We hope that he will be able to do so during an upcoming trip to London. Previously, he has made the claim that the city was “no longer English.” On this trip, he and his family will be having dinner with David Lammy and his family. They are meeting at Chevening, the country residence of the United Kingdom’s foreign secretary.

Against this tumultuous personal backdrop, Vance’s political prospects remain in swirling motion. Second state visit On 3rd June, Donald Trump will make his second state visit to the UK. As it stands, this visit would occur during the parliamentary recess. This recent development is a reminder of the hot political times we’re living in, where Vance is once again a leading character.
