Virginia Giuffre, who left us earlier this year, was a fierce advocate for transparency and justice. She expected that the last of the documents connected to Jeffrey Epstein would indeed see the light of day at last. Giuffre has become something of a household name lately for her allegations against Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. She says that they raped her and that she was “loaned out to other rich and powerful men,” like Prince Andrew. Her family continues to work with unending devotion to see the release of the so-called Epstein files. Most importantly, they focus on her dogged desire for recognition and accountability.
Giuffre’s siblings recently reacted strongly to comments made by former President Donald Trump, who described Giuffre’s experiences as “stolen.” They were shocked by this depiction, they claimed, as it reduces her to a stereotype. Sky Roberts, one of Giuffre’s family members, reminded everyone to humanize her, as she said,
“She’s not an object, she’s a person.” – Sky Roberts
Giuffre alleges that at the tender age of 16, Maxwell came to fetch her from the Mar-a-Lago spa. Now, she’s seeking justice by taking her case to court. This was the start of her terrifying years of abuse at the hands of Epstein and other powerful men. As Amanda Roberts, another Epstein family member, told us last week, Giuffre never gave up the hope that these Epstein files would somehow be released.
“She had a little bit of hope in her because it was said that the files were going to be released,” said Amanda Roberts.
Even after her death, Ms. Giuffre continued to battle aggressively for the unsealing of these documents. She felt that the public had a right to know about the crimes perpetrated on her and others.
Giuffre’s family has been publicly lobbying Trump to deny clemency to Maxwell. Maxwell is now serving an effective 20-year prison term for her role in trafficking minors for sexual exploitation. Maxwell’s appeal to have her conviction overturned is currently underway in the U.S. Supreme Court. She allegedly asked Trump for a pardon. As of this writing, Trump has announced that he is ruling out any clemency move for Maxwell.
So Trump’s spokeswoman, Karoline Leavitt, knew she would have to spring into action to defend the boss. She fiercely denied any allegations linking him to any kind of abuse involving Giuffre. She stated,
“The fact remains that President Trump kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of his club for being a creep to his female employees.” – Karoline Leavitt
Prince Andrew, who has similarly been accused by Giuffre, has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing in her accusations.
