The car was registered to Houston-born singer-songwriter D4vd, whose unexpected discovery has sparked a months-long investigation into her death. By September 8, authorities located her body. Initial reports indicate that she was dead for several weeks before they found her.
D4vd rose to prominence through his viral smashes “Romantic Homicide” and “Here With Me.” He’s been holed up at a friend’s place in the Hollywood Hills getting ready for a U.S. tour that’s happening this month. His manager accompanied him during this time. Once the cops ransacked the crib on September 5, D4vd moved out. His vehicle subsequently remained parked in her neighborhood for more than a month. A parking enforcement officer initially tagged D4vd’s Tesla on August 27.
The details of Rivas Hernandez’s death are still unknown. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office noted that she “appears to have been deceased inside the vehicle for an extended period of time before being found.” Her cause and manner of death remain pending.
