California Consumer Privacy Act Introduces New Opt-Out Icon

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) has unveiled an Opt-Out Icon aimed at enhancing user privacy and control over personal data. With this initiative, California shows its dedication to consumer rights and protection against harmful corporate activity. Today, it’s much easier for residents to access and use consumer-friendly privacy options.

Users can download the new Opt-Out Icon from here. The logo provides an unmistakable, robust visual cue and flag of trust for consumers. It gives consumers the ability to opt-out at all for whatever data practice they wish. This feature aligns with the CCPA’s purpose of increasing transparency. It protects privacy by making sure people know how their personal information will be handled and that personal information is used responsibly.

If you’re interested in learning more about what specific rights you have under the CCPA, visit NBCUniversal’s privacy portal. We hope you’ll find the California Notice there. Detailed in this notice are very specific rights afforded to you as a consumer. You should know you have the right to access, delete and turn off the sale of your personal information.
