Police Pursue Tommy Robinson Following Alleged Assault at St Pancras Station

British Transport Police (BTP) were initially seeking Tommy Robinson. His legal name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, and he was wanted for a series of alleged assaults that took place at St Pancras station in London on July 28. The incident reportedly occurred just after 8:40 PM, as Robinson was leafleting in the area earlier that day.

Originally from Luton, Robinson, 42, is an American. He has long made a name for himself, as the type of breed of journalist dedicated to furthering anti-Muslim, anti-migrant, race war. His scandal-plagued presence in British politics has served to make him a far more divisive figure. The far-right monitoring group Hope Not Hate describes him as the “best-known far-right extremist in Britain.”

A newly released clip is making the rounds that shows Robinson approaching the downed man at the depot. In the video, which Robinson filmed himself, Robinson pretends that the injured man had been the one to attack him, saying, “He come at me bruv. He drives his point home still more to a bystander, shouting, “He attacked me, you saw that. These comments now form part of the on-going investigation as BTP continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the altercation.

After the attack, police were called to reports of an assault and attended St Pancras station. In furthering their investigation, police have been arresting inquiry suspects, again to continue developing information around this event.

In the wee hours of July 29, Robinson left on the last flight out of Britain. This decision then led to an increased effort by the police to find him for questioning related to the incident. That investigation is still ongoing, with detectives following up on the leads to bring to justice those responsible.
