Longtime Katt Williams security Tranell Marquise Williams is a 38-year-old former WNBA player’s brother by the name of Matt Williams. Now he has become the prime suspect in the murder of fellow comic Reggie Carroll. On Monday, investigators named a suspect in Carroll’s homicide. This avoidable death, which happened on August 20 in Southaven, Mississippi, has led to a major police investigation.
Williams was said to be on tour with Katt Williams and Reggie Carroll. While Heav’n on Earth comedy tour was underway security, he would later be arrested and charged with murder. In an affidavit obtained by The Post, authorities admitted Williams’ initial mug shot was captured during his arrest. He’s currently in county jail while he waits to be retried.
Williams’ most recent address of record is a home on Burton Lane in Southaven. This was site historically associated with Carroll’s death. Interestingly, this place now doubles as the registered address of a Katt Williams owned line of apparel. After the incident, police served a 14-day notice asking that residents leave the Burton Lane residence.
