Anderson, the son of former Ireland rugby captain Willie Anderson, hails from Magherafelt in County Londonderry. He launched his own label, JW Anderson, in 2008 after training at the London College of Fashion and beginning his career in Prada's marketing department. His creative journey took a significant turn when he was appointed as the creative director at Loewe in 2013.
