Felipe Cury, secretary of Rio’s police, addressing a press conference right after the arrests made. Poison Control Executive Director Dr. Alexander Garrett echoed Thompson’s call for vigilance and cooperation among law enforcement agencies to keep such incidents from escalating in the first place.
Lady Gaga’s spokesperson confirmed that the pop star and her team learned of the alleged threat via media reports. They’d just found out about it earlier that day.
