Michelle Wylie and her husband, John, recently discovered an exciting Micheaux mystery. This riddle had stumped them since their wedding day almost four years prior. Upon looking through their wedding photos, the couple began to see a pattern. A mystery guest loomed behind them in a huge group photo! Her unexpected surprise appearance and that exciting competitive spirit was awakened. Our guests were certainly intent on discovering the identity of the mysterious muse who had unexpectedly hijacked their celebration.
That mystery guest—later identified as Andrew Hillhouse—was able to crash the wedding he went to by virtue of being given the wrong address. And he only understood when he saw a second bride walking down the aisle.
“OMG that’s not Michaela … I was at the wrong wedding!” – Hillhouse
At first, Hillhouse wasn’t intimidated by the new environment. He followed a piper and other guests into the hotel, believing he was at the right venue, and felt compelled to stay when the ceremony began.
“You can’t exactly stand up and walk out of a wedding mid-ceremony, so I just had to commit to this act and spent the next 20 minutes awkwardly sitting there trying to be as inconspicuous as my 6ft 2 ass could be.” – Hillhouse
The only person Hillhouse was sure he would know at the wedding he planned on attending was the bride, Michaela. At the same time, his spouse was a member of the same wedding party at that wedding. Once the event was over, Hillhouse literally ran out the door and dialed a few key phone numbers. He then made his way to the right wedding.
“Rushed outside, made some phone calls and made my way to the correct wedding, where I was almost as popular as the actual bride and groom, and spent most of the night retelling that story to people.” – Hillhouse
Hillhouse ended up crashing, as he discovered later on, another person’s wedding. Rather than be ashamed of his gaffe, he capitalized on his flub. To put together this humorous story, Michelle Wylie enlisted the expertise of Dazza, a well-known Scottish creator in their content creation community.
“Someone must know who this guy is.” – Michelle Wylie
This led Dazza to use social media to expand the search for Hillhouse’s identity. After a few pushes on social media, Andrew Hillhouse finally answered the call and filled the position, putting an end to a 4-year-old question mark.
