The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) recently created a new Opt-Out Icon to further protect consumer privacy. This new effort is to let Californians have greater agency over their data. The icon, now open sourced for public use, is one simple and effective step anyone can take to ensure their data is not sold.
The Opt-Out Icon can be found at the following link: Opt-Out Icon. This proposed development would reiterate and increase the CCPA’s compliance obligations related to these activities. It protects the privacy of consumers by giving consumers more transparency and control over their personal data.
Beyond the icon, CNBC offers a thorough California Notice, which details a consumer’s rights under the CCPA. This notice is available in CA Notice. CNBC’s Terms Of Service can be found at Terms of Service.
