Oklahoma Man Charged with Child Sexual Molestation After 11-Year-Old Girl Gives Birth

Dustin Walker, a 34-year-old from Oklahoma, has been charged with first-degree child sexual molestation. These troubling allegations follow the stillbirth of an 11-year-old girl. According to the allegations, he began sexually abusing the child in January. This cruelty caused her to give birth alone at home on August 16th. The case has caused deep outrage in the impacted community and is currently being investigated by local county prosecutors.

Allegations of abuse had gone unnoticed for many months. The victim, noted as being “somewhat petite,” hadn’t been to a physician in over a year. This gap in receiving medical visits left her pregnancy undiagnosed. In addition to this, there are still questions as to whether she was even attending school or being formally homeschooled, permitting the abuse to go on undetected. After Nicole Walker, the mother, gave birth to a healthy, full-term baby, a DNA test proved Walker is the father of the newborn.

Along with the charges against Walker, the girl’s mother, a 33-year-old woman, has been charged. Both adults were originally charged with one count each of felony child neglect. They are now under heightened scrutiny for reportedly failing to protect five other children in their care. These kids are 2 – 9 years old. I don’t doubt that authorities have been equally concerned for these other children.

The two suspects have been sitting in jail with $100,000 bail each since their arrest. If found guilty on the charges of sexual molestation and neglect, they would be sentenced to a lifetime imprisonment. Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Hutson described this case as potentially “the most serious … I have ever prosecuted.”

“This is one of the most if not the most serious child sexual abuse and neglect cases I have ever prosecuted.” – Jennifer Hutson

Hutson emphasized the trauma inflicted on the young victim, stating, “This child is traumatized. She’s been through a horrific ordeal. Not only has somebody gotten her pregnant, but she gave birth at home without medical assistance, and this will be her life for the rest of her life.”

The next court date for Walker and the girl’s mother is tentatively set for September. The case has drawn significant media attention and public outrage, highlighting the critical need for vigilance in protecting vulnerable children.
