Sean Diddy Combs Sentenced for Prostitution-Related Offenses as Judge Remains Unmoved

Last Friday, Sean “Diddy” Combs faced a judge in a New York City courtroom. As a result, he is currently serving a 50-month prison sentence for his prostitution-related offenses. Miss B reported on the trial being quite the circus and revealed horrific evidence of Combs’s predatory behavior. It was damaging enough to allege sexual abuse and manipulation.

As Missoula’s Judge Arun Subramanian delivered the sentence, Combs looked outwardly shocked, putting his head in his hands during the proceedings. He had pled for mercy before, taking responsibility for his crime while claiming to have turned his life around. In perhaps the most emotional part of his appeal, he promised to dedicate himself to his family and community if only he were set free.

Even still, despite Combs’s heartbreaking testimony, Judge Subramanian didn’t seem to be moved by his pleas. In doing so, the judge focused on the nature of Combs’ offenses, citing the far-reaching consequences he had on his victims.

“Nothing about this case is good,” – Judge Arun Subramanian

The case became widely known for the significance of its allegations. The trial proceedings were, in fact, so over-the-top that some likened the atmosphere of the trial to one of a circus. Combs’s family members came to the sentencing, wearing high-fashion attire, as supporters and influencers on both sides of the case flocked outside of the courthouse, live-streaming the scene.

One of the most important witnesses, “Jane,” got on the stand and told her story. She provided testimony that Combs had forced her oral sex during an assault. She recalled him instructing her to “take this fucking pill, get out there, suck his dick,” referring to an escort. This powerful and moving testimony had a real impact on the judge’s view of Combs’s character and intentions.

During the trial, Combs’s previous actions were repeatedly questioned. Soon, a graphic video leaked online showing him brutally beating his then-girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura. This jarring video triggered the music mogul to post an apology on Instagram. But even this modest apology did not appear to impress the judge much.

Combs had strong words in defense of both Ventura and Jane. He thanked them for their courage in coming forward with their tales of woe. He dubbed them “powerful women.” He wanted to create the impression that he was very much on their side, even with all those allegations hanging over him.

At the beginning of his sex-trafficking conspiracy trial in early May, Combs was looking at a potential life sentence. As a result, he ultimately only received a sentence of 10 months less than the one recommended by prosecutors, and more than 80 months less than their original request.

Judge Subramanian emphasized the seriousness of Combs’s conduct at sentencing, saying,

“You abused them, physically, emotionally and psychologically.”
