Suspicious Package Incident at Joint Base Andrews Leads to Hospitalizations

An incident involving a suspicious package at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland resulted in seven individuals being briefly hospitalized on Thursday afternoon. The base, known as the home of Air Force One, has resumed normal operations. Rather than change their ways following the incident, they got right back to business.

The terrifying turn of events occurred when someone opened the suspicious package that included a white powder. In a quick reaction Joint Base Andrews first responders were sent to the scene to determine safety and action required. One of the first things they established was that there were no urgent risks to public safety.

To avoid any possibility of further damage, officials evacuated the damaged structure along with an adjoining building, placing a protective cordon around the debris zone.
